Kitchen Cabinet Hardware
Will Rachel and Ross make it work? Will Ted finally get Robin? Will Leslie finally build the park for Ann? Does Dwight ever become Regional Manager? These timeless questions that hold significance in all of our lives now includes: Will Miranda ever pick out hardware for her cabinets?
I wish you all could hear the background noise as I online shop for kitchen cabinet hardware. It’s a mixture of Friends (“The One Where The Stripper Cries”) combined with my 1 year old nephew (“Dj Shady Baby”) playing his Rock-A-Mole (an avocado-shaped “guitar” from Target that plays vaguely rock-esque songs).
Since Dj Shady Baby and I are stuck in the Honeywood Haus all day, I decided it was the perfect time to FINALLY pick some cabinet hardware options for the kitchen. I’ve been putting this off because a few weeks ago when I first tried looking, I couldn’t find ANYTHING in the color, style, and price point that I wanted.
I finally had to be flexible and expand what I was willing to purchase, so here’s the criteria I decided on:
Black
Simple
4” Center to Center
As a cardigan connoisseur, I initially didn’t want pulls that have an overhang (example below). I quickly realized, though, that my options were limited so I had to be open to it despite the fear of my cardis being snagged.
After online shopping, consulting my friends on Instagram, and reviewing suggestions people had, I narrowed it down to one of two choices.
OPTION A
Option B
I chose Option A, but with a twist! I got 4” long cabinet pulls AND 5” long cabinet pulls. The drawers already have two holes for pulls which is why I wanted 4” pulls. However, for the cabinets, I’m switching from knobs to pulls so they only have 1 hole. Regardless of what size I decide on, I’ll have to drill a hole. The design I want comes in both size so I tried them both out on the tall cabinets to see which I like. See below!
The 5” one (left cabinet door) looks better on the tall cabinets right?! So I’ll be going with those for the tall cabinets and 4” for everything else! Stay tuned for my post of the full kitchen reveal coming soon!
